In an era of rapid digital transformation, operational efficiency, productivity and technology connectivity have become essential elements in helping organisations grow and remain competitive.

In line with this evolution, Ambang Angkasa Sabah Sdn Bhd, as Sharp’s strategic partner in East Malaysia, has joined forces with Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to bring Sharp Connect 2026 to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

The initiative showcases Sharp’s evolution beyond traditional electronics, highlighting a comprehensive smart and integrated solutions ecosystem designed to address the needs of various sectors, including government, education, corporate, business and hospitality.

Official Launch with State Leadership

Sharp Connect 2026 Sabah was officially launched by Deputy Minister of Finance Sabah, Datuk Chong Chen Bin, and attended by Assistant Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Sabah, Jordan Jude Ellron.

Sabah and East Malaysia were among the early destinations for this initiative, reflecting the region’s growing economic potential and the importance of strong strategic collaboration between Sharp and its local partners.

According to Managing Director of Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Ting Yang Chung, the initiative forms part of Sharp’s efforts to introduce technology solutions that support smarter ways of working and living across Sabah.

One Strategic Partner for Multiple Technology Needs

One of the key values offered by Ambang Angkasa is the convenience of accessing integrated technology solutions through a single strategic partner.

Government agencies, educational institutions and corporate organisations in Sabah can access a broad range of technology solutions and professional support services through one solution partner, helping to simplify procurement, implementation and after-sales support.

Chief Executive Officer of Ambang Angkasa, Datuk Ravend Naiker, also emphasised the company’s commitment to delivering value and quality service to customers across Sabah.

“We believe that we have good products. We want to differentiate ourselves from the competition. What we are trying to tell the audience, our customers and our future customers is: give us a chance. We have the latest technology and we are ready to serve you better,” said Datuk Ravend Naiker.

Technology Solutions Designed for Real-World Challenges

Recognising the infrastructure and connectivity challenges that remain in some rural areas of Sabah, the solutions showcased also take into consideration the needs of organisations operating in environments with limited internet access.

For example, selected education solutions and smart devices allow certain modules and software to be stored directly on the device. This approach can help ensure that learning and digital operations can continue even when internet connectivity is inconsistent.

Among the key solutions showcased at Sharp Connect 2026 Sabah are:

  • Smart Interactive Systems & Education Solutions – Supporting digital learning, collaboration and interaction in classrooms and meeting environments.
  • Multifunction Printers (MFPs) & Office Solutions – Helping organisations improve productivity, document management and operational efficiency.
  • Air Care Technology & Hospitality Solutions – Supporting cleaner, more comfortable and conducive environments across business, education and hospitality settings.

Moving Forward Together

In line with Sharp’s “In Step with Your Future” philosophy, the initiative focuses on understanding the specific needs of each organisation and aligning technology with its objectives and operational challenges.

The collaboration also supports Sharp Malaysia’s ambition to increase the contribution of its Business-to-Business (B2B) segment to more than 40 percent of the company’s total revenue by the end of 2027.

By combining Sharp’s technology and innovation with Ambang Angkasa’s local experience and expertise, we are committed to helping organisations across Sabah explore smarter, more connected and more efficient digital solutions.
