Ambang Angkasa Sarawak Drives Sarawak’s Digitalisation Agenda Through Strategic SHARP Connect 2026 Collaboration
KUCHING — As an Official Strategic Partner of Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (SHARP), Ambang Angkasa Sarawak Sdn Bhd continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting Sarawak’s digitalisation agenda through Sharp Connect 2026: The Connectivity Tour 2026 in Kuching.
The event serves as a platform for industry players, public-sector organisations and local businesses to explore the latest digital solutions and technologies designed to simplify operations, improve productivity and create more connected working environments.
Nearly 20 Years of Strengthening the Public and Private Sectors
Chief Executive Officer of Ambang Angkasa Sdn Bhd, Datuk Ravend Naiker, said the company remains committed to expanding the adoption of SHARP technologies and solutions to meet the needs of public- and private-sector organisations across Sarawak.
This commitment is built on a strong partnership between Ambang Angkasa and SHARP spanning nearly 20 years, with solutions supporting various sectors including education, healthcare, corporate offices and businesses.
Ambang Angkasa Sarawak also remains ready to work closely with the state government and local organisations in supporting a more comprehensive digitalisation journey — from schools and corporate offices to communities in rural and remote areas.
Reaching Remote Communities and Empowering Rural Education
Ambang Angkasa Sarawak’s commitment extends beyond urban centres to include rural and remote communities.
According to Chief Operating Officer of Ambang Angkasa Sdn Bhd, Datin Fiona Dayang Singa, efforts to provide technology products and digital solutions to schools in remote areas have been expanded since 2024.
In 2026, the initiative continued with the provision of technology facilities to several schools in remote areas, including:
- SK Lusong Laku
- SK Tegulang
- SK Nanga Telawan
- SK Long Segaham
The provision of technology facilities in areas such as Kapit, Lawas and Belaga aims to support students’ learning needs and help expand equitable access to digital technology.
The initiative reflects Ambang Angkasa Sarawak’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of technology reach not only organisations in urban areas, but also communities and educational institutions in more remote locations.
Developing Local Talent and Supporting the SME Ecosystem
Beyond providing technology infrastructure and solutions, Ambang Angkasa Sarawak also places strong emphasis on developing local talent and human capital.
The majority of Ambang Angkasa employees in Sarawak are local talents who receive dedicated training to strengthen their skills and knowledge in technology and digital solutions.
This effort not only contributes to the development of local capabilities, but also aims to create more employment opportunities for Sarawakians as the company continues to expand its operations in the state, particularly in Kuching.
The Sharp Connect 2026 event in Kuching was officiated by Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, YB Datuk Snowdan Lawan.
He also acknowledged the collaboration between SHARP and Ambang Angkasa Sdn Bhd in creating added value for local businesses, particularly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), through the adoption of technology to support productivity and customer service improvements.
